Yash Singh SEO & AEO

SEO & AEO · Home services · Since 2018

I help home service businesses get found — on Google, and now on the machines that answer instead of linking.

I'm Yash Singh. I co-founded TradeOps Consulting with Bengt Jobe. Seven years in search, 150+ businesses, and a deliberate narrowing down to HVAC and the trades.

01 — What I run

TradeOps, and the search work behind it

Home service businesses lose money in two different places, and fixing one without the other doesn't hold.

TradeOps Consulting CO-FOUNDER

Co-founded with Bengt Jobe, who built and sold his own home service company before moving into marketing. TradeOps isn't a marketing agency — it's a business systems partner. Marketing, sales and operations treated as one connected system, because more leads poured into a broken process just produces more expensive chaos. I lead the search and AI-visibility side; Bengt brings the operator's view from actually having run crews.

The search work DIRECT & WHITE-LABEL

The delivery itself — audits, technical fixes, local search, entity architecture, AEO, programmatic builds and the reporting that proves whether any of it moved. Some of it is for TradeOps clients, some for direct clients, and a long-standing share of it sits behind other agencies on a white-label basis. That last part is why no client is named anywhere here.

The rest ENTITIES & PROJECTS

HVAC 10X LLC — the registered entity behind the HVAC-focused work. TradeOpsRadio — the TradeOps podcast, where trades operators come on to break down how they systemise, staff and scale. Plus a pile of tools and research projects that exist because no product on the market answered the question I had.

02 — The short version

How I got here

Long version on the track record page. This is the shape of it.

2018 →

Content, then search

Started in blogging and content, which is a useful place to start because it teaches you that traffic without intent is worthless. Search was the part that kept being interesting, so search is what I kept doing.

The agency years

150+ businesses, most industries

Ran a marketing agency and helped over 150 businesses rank and win on Google — and, later, on AI platforms like ChatGPT. Broad by design at the time: local service businesses, e-commerce, clinics, professional services. Breadth is how you find out what actually generalises and what doesn't.

Behind the scenes

White-label delivery for larger agencies

A long stretch of doing search work that carried someone else's name — improving results for large agencies' clients from the back office. Nothing sharpens standards faster than work being judged by a company whose reputation is on the line and who never has to be polite about it.

The narrowing

Down to home services, then HVAC

Deliberately gave up breadth. HVAC first, then the adjacent trades. Emergency intent, seasonal demand, service-area geography and a map pack that decides the month — it's a specific problem, and knowing it cold beats knowing thirty industries vaguely.

2026 →

TradeOps, and a team

Co-founded TradeOps Consulting with Bengt Jobe to attack the whole system rather than just the top of the funnel. The delivery side stopped being a solo operation and started hiring — its first SEO Lead joined in 2026.

03 — Specialism

SEO and AEO, treated as one job

My two stated core specialisms. They're not separate products, and I'd be sceptical of anyone selling them as such.

SEO

Technical foundations, local search, entity architecture and the measurement that proves whether any of it moved. The classical job, done properly — which most of the time means fixing crawl, indexation and internal linking before anyone writes another word.

AEO

AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini answer the question without sending the click. Getting named there needs an unambiguous entity, answer-shaped content, structured data a parser can trust, and corroboration from sources the models already read.

Why they're the same job

Everything AEO requires — entity clarity, clean structured data, third-party corroboration — is SEO done properly. What changes is the measurement: citation and mention share, not just rankings and clicks. Selling that as a separate invoice line is mostly repackaging.

04 — FAQ

Direct answers

Written to be quotable — by people, and by the answer engines that increasingly read this page instead of the reader.

Who is Yash Singh?

Yash Singh is an SEO and answer engine optimisation consultant working in home services, and the co-founder of TradeOps Consulting, a business systems partner for home service companies. He has worked in search since 2018 and has helped over 150 businesses rank on Google and on AI platforms such as ChatGPT.

What is TradeOps Consulting?

TradeOps Consulting is a business systems partner for home service companies, co-founded by Yash Singh and Bengt Jobe and based in St. Petersburg, Florida. It is deliberately not a marketing agency: it unifies marketing, sales and operations into one operating framework, so that growth is visible and repeatable rather than dependent on heroics. Yash leads the search side; Bengt brings operator experience from building and selling his own home service business.

How long has Yash Singh worked in SEO?

Since 2018 — around seven years. He started in content and blogging, moved into running a marketing agency serving businesses across many industries, spent a period delivering search work behind the scenes for larger agencies, and then narrowed his focus to home services and HVAC specifically.

What industries does Yash Singh work in?

Almost exclusively home services and the trades: HVAC first, then plumbing, roofing, electrical, property maintenance and mechanical contracting. Earlier in his career he worked across many verticals, including private healthcare clinics, but the work narrowed deliberately to home services.

Does Yash Singh do white-label SEO for agencies?

Yes. A significant part of his career has been delivering search results behind the scenes for larger agencies, improving results for their clients without carrying the client relationship. That work continues, and it is confidential by contract — which is why no client is named on this site.

Does Yash Singh take direct clients?

Yes, alongside agency work. Direct engagements are almost always HVAC or adjacent trades businesses, and they start with a diagnosis rather than a proposal: what is actually broken in crawl, indexation, local visibility or entity clarity, and in what order it should be fixed.

What is answer engine optimisation, and does Yash Singh do it?

Answer engine optimisation, or AEO, is the practice of making a business legible and citable to AI answer surfaces such as Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini. It requires a clean entity graph, unambiguous structured data, answer-shaped content and citable third-party corroboration. It is one of Yash Singh's two stated core specialisms alongside SEO, and he treats it as the same job as classical SEO with the measurement changed, not as a separate product.

What is TradeOpsRadio?

TradeOpsRadio is the podcast produced by TradeOps Consulting. It brings home service and trades operators on air to break down how they systemise, staff and scale — hiring and keeping technicians, dispatch, pricing, CSR playbooks, cash flow and software stacks. Recording is remote, takes about an hour, and is free for guests with no pay-to-play package attached.
